Dead & Breakfast

Summary of the Movie:

Dead & Breakfast is a zombie-horror independent film with a touch of musical. Uhm. Yes. It's actually a pretty good zombie film, quirky and surreal in parts, quite funny in others, very creative in yet other parts...an interesting puzzle of horror elements, comedy elements, a touch of oriental mysticism, a strong visual structure, a somewhat redundant but also colorful country music narration (country minstrels...not joking!)
It works. The slasher/gory element is somewhat boring, in some ways, but overall, if you like zombie movies, this one is absolutely worth watching.
Jeff plays The Sheriff. And yes, his character dies. No surprises there. *g*
The Sheriff is..solid, a tad mean, suspicious, not really very bright, but brave and conscientious. Sadly, he never gets naked, but the cowboy hat, the heavy jacket, the guns at his belt, the beard, the boots, the attitude...hell, he doesn't need to get naked to be hot.
The Sheriff at first investigates the group of main characters that end up strayed in this little town as suspects in a murder, then he'll realize what else is going on - everyone is turned into a zombie - and help them out as he can.
The Sheriff is easily the best character of the cast, he's funny and fully rounded, but it's clear that the whole cast and crew had a great time making this movie, and that comes across on screen.
Also, any film with David Carradine must be watched. As a principle!
